Future Plans

Hey guys, just wanted to update everyone with how things are going to be looking for my writing in the near-future and into the New Year.

I have witnessed and experienced so much injustice already in the short time I’ve lived on this planet. It breaks my heart to hear about anyone who has experienced any sort of oppression and/or abuse in their lifetime. We’re all in the same boat here, sailing through the vast ocean that is our lives. So I truly believe it’s counter-productive to try to throw one another overboard when our insecurities get the best of us. It breeds eternal misery and cynicism and creeps up on the best of us. We have all been blessed with the gift of life and are all entitled to a happy, fulfilled life as equals. I genuinely do want the best for everyone.

Spirituality, equality, sexuality, feminism, and social justice are things that I am infinitely passionate about. The majority of my poetry thus far (however dark I may add,) has these elements to them despite their slightly darker undertones. It’s frustrating to see people sell themselves short when we all have so much potential to live the life we have always dreamed of as one. Therefore, it only makes sense to me that I continue to write about these issues that are so dear to me. I plan on writing a lot more opinionated “perspective posts” to be a little more literal in sharing my thoughts about the universe. I’ll also be publishing poems here and there to my preference but they will likely be abstract as always.

I’m also working on adapting a lot of my poetry and writing into lyrics. Song writing is an art in and of itself but writing an album is something that has always been on my bucket list. I am passionate about the potential in music that can really tell a  story in a more accessible way. I’ve been singing a lot lately and hope to eventually bring some of my writing to life when I reach some more confidence in creating music and writing lyrics instead of just firing off abstract poetry at you guys. Right now I’m just trying to balance my studies with my writing and other hobbies to prepare for the upcoming year.

I’m so excited for all that the future has in store and I hope eventually I can share some more of my work with you guys. Stay golden.

About humblefoot

Kyle Fisher (who often uses the alias Logan Rowley online and in his writing) has been enjoying writing since he was just 8 years old. His first formal publication was at the age of 13. He is now a spiritualist and openly queer author, perpetually searching for inspiration to create and learn more about the world around him. He is always drawn to the simplicity and uniqueness that life has to offer. He doesn’t identify with labels or socially constructed ideas about how the world should be. He believes that the world is your oyster, and that we all project our own destinies with the thoughts we choose to harbour about the universe. He is an idealistic, spiritualistic hippie who is just trying to find his place in this world, crafting each word to leave his mark, and promote love and equality among all people.
