This is going to be somewhat of an abstract and spiritual perspective post. So at the risk of alienating readers (including my lovely subscribers), I shall trudge on nonetheless. I understand that we all have differing experiences that cultivate and encourage the opinions that we come to form and understand about our world. When someone else’s ideas or beliefs feel threatening to us we have been conditioned to reject them entirely to protect our own ego. So I will understand if you don’t agree with me or understand where I’m coming from. I have had near-death experiences that only encourage this kind of non-traditional, new-aged spirituality. Trust in what feels right to you. Just know that I respect everyone and their diversity and their freedom to choose whatever it is that they would like to believe in.
For starters, I would just like to say that this “world” we are living in is not our reality. Although we may choose to express reality in it if we so choose. The universe is a bit of a paradox which makes it difficult to explain and easy to argue. In a sense, we do have the free will to form our own opinions and make our own decisions. But we will never be “free” so long as we are incarnating on this planet. Our very being here is a clear indication of that. We find our true freedom when we can come to a deeper understanding of who we are and why we are really here.
We are constantly plagued by our addictions to sex, media, violence, pornography, hatred, greed, selfishness, persistent bad news and fear. The world is the way it is as a result of our collective thoughts about the planet. We are lazy and complacent in our actions against injustice. So instead of stopping to appreciate the uniqueness and beauty that life has to offer, we choose to look the other way, while letting other people form our opinions and set our standards for us.
Stop looking for salvation outside of yourself. There is no “Messiah”. Collectively, WE are God, the Creator. We are just different projections of the same Being. We are all the same at the core of who we are because we are the same Being. This is why karma exists whether we choose to acknowledge it or not. If I go out of my way to hurt someone, guess what I am really doing? It is irony at its finest. We are just not able to see this clearly from our current level of consciousness. People spend their entire lives searching for spiritual meaning outside of themselves when the true happiness they seek can only come from within. Stop relying on a relationship, love, sex, religion, material wealth or superficial means to satisfy you. It’s a vicious cycle and they will never truly satisfy you.
Life is a bit like a game whereby we all forget who we really are to come to a deeper understanding of Ourselves. We are essentially actors on the stage of life, acting out our roles to suit our purpose in this world. When someone is hurting you, understand and accept the fact that everything is interconnected and that this is their role in your life. You do not have to accept poor behaviour but try to understand where they are coming from and appreciate the fact that they are challenging you as an individual. Instead of solely reacting to what is going on or blindly following along with a collective group, try to harbour your own positive thoughts and ideas about the universe instead.
I believe in the goodness of all people. The reason we are an insecure and often hostile race is that we do not understand our selves or our very being. So we act out and fight and lie and cheat and pretend to be things we’re not in a desperate attempt to come to some sort of an understanding; trying to find answers outside of ourselves. The vast majority may be selfish and superficial on the surface but it is only because they do not understand and they feel that they need to be to tolerate and ease their fears in their uncertain world. We are all light and love; the same at the core of who we are.
The less you know about yourself and the game of life, the more senseless that living becomes. We all have the tools to succeed but we choose to saturate our minds with negativity instead. Serving just yourself will get you nowhere in the end. We all have the free will to choose light and love. We just need to take the responsibility and the initiative to do so. When you begin to understand that, you begin to understand the game and thus, it is easier to radiate light and love. Our behaviour is not a reflection of who we are; our soul is who we are. Our body is merely a shell to contain our soul and though a body may die on Earth, a soul cannot be destroyed.
So give thanks for the gift of life that has been given and entrusted to you. Cultivate a love for life in all of its uniqueness and diversity. Be thankful and show gratitude and love and serve others with all of your Being. Separation is just an illusion much like this life is. We are all one in each other in the grand scheme of things. The closer you look at life, the less you will see, as “clever” and as “qualified” and “educated” as you think you may be. Choose to harbour light and love and don’t tolerate negativity. Love yourself and love others. Only then will you find true fulfillment and happiness.
Sending everyone positive vibrations.
This world is so much brighter than we can comprehend,
